2nd TYC International Preliminary Rangzen meet in Taiwan

The Tibetan Youth Congress concluded its two-day International Preliminary Rangzen Conference in Taiwan on mid November 2012.  A 25-delegate meeting representing four countries including Taiwan, France, Japan and Tibet attended this meeting. The two-day meeting had two agendas for discussion.

西藏青年會 (Tibet Youth Congress，簡稱藏青會/TYC) 非常榮幸在台灣主辦為期兩天的「東亞區域獨立會議」（Rangzen Conference，Rangzen 為藏語的獨立）。這次會議特地選在台灣舉辦，是作為即將於2013年舉辦的「國際西藏獨立會議」的預備會議（總計有四場預備會議，包括已經於蘇黎世舉辦歐洲區會議，台灣是第二場，接下來還會在紐約及印度舉辦第三場和第四場預備會議）。預備會議中將會針對如何讓圖博恢復獨立，討論相關策略與計畫。明年，全球各地的西藏人會共同慶祝由第13世達賴喇嘛於1913年發起的圖博獨立宣言100週年。

TIBET : A Burning Issue

The Tibetan Youth Congress is honored to be organizing its two-day Rangzen (Independence) Conference in Taiwan.  The venue for this preliminary conference - a lead up to the International Rangzen Conference scheduled for the year 2013, the year when Tibetans all over the world will commemorate 100 years of declaration of Tibetan Independence by the 13^th Dalai Lama in 1913.

Update from Tenzin Norsang, Joint Secretary of Tibetan Youth Congress, who is on a 10-day trip to Taiwan organizing the 2nd Preliminary International Rangzen Conference scheduled to be held on the 10-11 November 2012

8 November 2012, Taiwan: 

Today I visited and met with two Executive members; Dylan P.C. .Kup, Executive Secretary and Y-Chi-Yang, Campaign Coordinator of Amnesty international, Taiwan at their office.   The meeting lasted almost 40 minutes where they informed me of their campaigns for Tibetan human rights situation and their efforts at generating awareness for the cause of Tibet.  They assured that they would continue to do more in the future.  I thanked them for their relentless work and expressed my views and opinions on the situation inside Tibet and the wave of self-immolations since 2009.

說明：

自2009年初發生第一起藏人自焚抗議以來，至今已經有超過七十個藏人自焚。世界上還有哪個地方會像中國一樣，讓痛苦掙扎的人們用如此決絕的行動表達他們非暴力的抗議與犧牲的決心？北京政府對藏人自焚的回應則是，強化監控、嚴厲鎮壓、任意逮捕、拘禁、刑求以及恐嚇，並不遺餘力地對自焚者進行人格謀殺。這樣的行為既麻木不仁、具攻擊性且鹵莽不計後果，只會引發更多類似的自焚行動。

為自由焚身 為圖博再來  聲援行動劇

68不是一個數字，是68個有血肉的西藏人為了他們的國家（不管你稱之Tibet、西藏或者圖博）燃燒自己的生命，大聲喊出「FREE TIBET!」

他們身上的火或許已經撲滅，但他們引起的火花會繼續燃燒…

11月9日晚上在自由廣場為自焚者舉行的燭光祈福晚會，邀請您來協助我們完成一個聲援行動劇。我們要徵求68位參與者，於18:30~19:00到達自由廣場向主辦單位報到，並且領取一面圖博的雪山獅子旗，然後走到活動場地中間，任選一個位置躺下，覆蓋雪山獅子國旗於你自己的身上。晚上七點前，我們希望可以募集到68位參與者覆旗躺下，然後才開始祈福晚會。

*活動將會全程錄影，並將行動劇剪輯成影片聲援圖博人民。
